Our first workshop: Writing Mesopotamia at the Ashmolean

Our first Writing Mesopotamia workshop at the Ashmolean this morning (Sunday 24 March) was full of rich, interesting insights and resulted in some exciting creative ideas now being turned into polished poems for the reading and exhibition on 28th April. We wrote epigrams to start with that will be translated into Arabic for the reading. The highlight of the session was a haiku sequence from the immensely talented Frankie Crosby (see photos) aged only 13 but already a poet of great promise. Next session will be from 10.30-12.30 on Sunday 7th April. There are still places on that day.
