On Monday 22, Adnan and I gave a reading and seminar to the Breadloaf Programme of students which is for adult learners (from the US) to gain an MA in Literature over five years. The course is held at Lincoln College. We read some of our poems in Arabic and English and then the students (all lovely!) had a go at translating one of Adnan’s poems from Arabic with a transliteration to work from. Some great results and all very different. We’ve been asked back again next year!
